1. Jesus describes his followers as the "salt of the earth." What do you think this metaphor means in the context of being a follower of Christ?

2. Salt is often used for flavouring, preserving, fertilizing and purifying. How can Christians fulfill these roles in society?

3. Jesus says, "You are the light of the world." What are some ways in which Christians can shine as lights in the world today?

4. Jesus speaks of not hiding a lamp under a bowl. What might this mean metaphorically for believers in terms of sharing their faith and living out the teachings of Jesus?

5. What does it mean to let our light shine before others so that they may see our good works and give glory to God? How do good deeds glorify God?

6. **Application**: How can we practically apply the concepts of being salt and light in our daily lives, interactions, and communities?

7. **Challenges**: What are some challenges or obstacles that might hinder us from being effective salt and light in the world, and how can we overcome them?

9. **Personal Commitment**: What specific steps can you take to be more intentional about being salt and light in your own sphere of influence?
